How hard is it to install a vehicle GPS tracker?
For a battery-powered Tracki GPS tracker, installation is generally simple. Turn on the device, activate it in the Tracki app, choose your update interval, and place the tracker in your vehicle where it can receive a good signal. No professional installation is required for the basic setup. For a hardwired installation, a 12 to 24V vehicle wiring kit can be used, but installation is more involved.
Is it legal to track a vehicle?
It depends on who owns or controls the vehicle, who is being tracked, and the laws that apply where you live. Tracking your own vehicle is generally different from secretly tracking someone else's vehicle. Employer, family, rental, and other situations can have additional legal requirements, including notice or consent. Check your state or local laws before tracking another person.

How accurate is the location?
Tracki's GPS location is typically accurate to around 15 meters (about 50 feet) under suitable conditions, although accuracy can vary because of buildings, atmospheric conditions, and other signal limitations. Tracki can also use Wi-Fi and cellular positioning when GPS signals are unavailable, which can be less precise.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life depends heavily on the Tracki model, update interval, signal conditions, and tracking mode. More frequent location updates use more power, while battery-saving settings can extend runtime. Tracki's current product information lists battery life of up to 75 days for certain Tracki models, while extended-battery and vehicle power options can provide longer-term operation.
