This is the next upgrade for me. I have the battery device as well and it's tiring catching up to the company vehicle to grab and recharge then replace. Love this OBD tracker. Love that the mileage will reset IF the employee decides to "go dark" for a while. I also love the mobility of the device to fit 1996 and newer stuff. All of our company vehicles (about 15) fit in this department so the flexibility to pull tracker off one truck and place on another when questionable things start happening is well worth it. I've had hard wired devices in the past, they present their own unique problems. I'm very happy with what I have here.
